Re: Did you put on weight at uni?well, I said the same thing, but in the first week of uni for my, my best friend, grandpa, and dog died.(Original post by Belle88)
In the title reallyyy. My friends all say that everyone puts on weight at uni and I just wondered if this was actually the case for most people...
I will make sure I don'tttt!!
all i did was eat.........and I gained two stone in three months! however, I went home, my older brother was appropriately aghast (to my face) and put me on a diet. I've lost all the weight, and have kept it off (I believe because it wasn't my natural body size) for a year now.

Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I was a size 12/14 when I started university. As time went by, I lost weight (particularly over the summer following second year when I dropped from a size 12/14 to a size 6/8 inexplicably in a month or two.
However, I moved in with my best friend in December, and having been influenced by his eating style I've since gone back to being a size 12. -
Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I go through phases of not really eating at all, and eating massses, & phases of healthiness and junk food, so im sure it must fluctuate loads but i dont have scales here and when i went home at xmas it was pretty much the same, maybe a litttttle bit more, which is good cause im trying to put on weight! (well not tryying, but ill be happy if i do, its better than losing it anyway!)

Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I've put on about 4 pounds since I started in September - I know thats not alot but still...it might add up!
I don't drink overly much and probs do more exercise than I did at home (due to ridicilous amounts of walking) and my diet is probs the same as it was before...though I do binge on chocolate more but thats nothing out of the ordinary for me..! -
Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I actually lost about 5lbs in my first semester, I think all the walking around the city did it. I have put on a few lbs from first year to third year but I think that's just because I'm not 18 anymore and mearly becoming a woman haha!
Not everyone puts weight on, it's just a case of being sensible also I think drinking is the main thing that makes people gain weight at uni, so be aware of the calories in your alcohol (and your kebab or whatever at the end of the night!). -
Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
In my first semester last year I lost weight, then gained in the second, both thanks to not eating properly, but in different ways. Now in my second year I've managed to not gain any, and have gotten back in to exercising, which I got a bit lax with in my first year so I manage to stay slim!
