Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I guess it depends on individual people cos everyone has different diets and exercise routines..
personally i have lost weight since startin uni last september. i was nearly 9st and am now 8st 1lbs but my stomach looks quite fat i think, but this might be because it isnt toned, i have started running though cos i dont do any regular exercise exept walkin 20mins to uni and back everyday, and shopping
my diet has really affected my weight,i dont eat half as much as when was living back home with parents, cos my mum did cooking for the family so i had set meals and she was always trying to encourage me to eat breakfast tho i relly hate eating first thing in the morning, so at uni i dont normally eat breakfast, and sometimes just have a packet of crisps or choclate bar etc for lunch then dinner ranges from a proper meal of pasta, salad etc- to just sumat like beans on toast, or just soup if i dont feel like cooking cos im so terrible at it!
But i have been eating more lately when am bored and when i cant sleep and having cereal late at night..so i rekon i will put on weight from that

Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
As a girl you've got to think about your age, at around 18-20 your body hsape changes tons. My weights gone up and down (i go through stages of being really healthy and stages of having exams and eating lots) I havent exercised though. I'm catered but the food wasnt great and you made your own lunches so it was tempting to buy lots of stuff to make up for it.
My body shapes changed quite a bit, I guess from girl to woman. I want to loose a bit of weight, I'm a size 12 but dont feel happy with my body. I feel like i pile wegiht on a lot easier now, I'm not eating any more than last year but my flat stomach is no longer flat and the chin is starting to be double etc. Never used to have this!
I hope next year to get into a routine of exercise (wish i had this past year) and im in a house self-catered so just woulnt buy unhealthy stuff/cba to make it. So all will be better i hope! -
Re: Did you put on weight at uni?I hope that's true because I'm 19 and I want my body to fill out a bit. My hips are weird >.>(Original post by tigger01)

Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I lost weight at first, but now I reckon I'm almost back at my normal weight (difficult to tell since I don't weigh myself much). Partly due to the fact that I don't buy lots of food and don't eat anywhere near as much as I used to at home, but I got very stressed during Easter/exam time so I ate more.

Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I've actually lost about half a stone. I'm lazy when it comes to food so often will eat less because I can't be bothered to make food. I also live about half an hour from uni so walk more.
If you think your diet will be unhealthier why not join a sport? One of my flatmates only eats processed fatty stuff but does urban dance so hasn't put on weight. -
Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
I put on weight whilst travelling (for the first time in my life, when it wasn't related to growing vertically). However, I haven't put on weight since I've been at uni (despite going on the pill), and I think I may even have lost a little (I don't have a set of scales!)

Re: Did you put on weight at uni?
In first year, I gained a lot of weight. I was in a catered hall, ate loads of food (including take-aways) and drank a lot.
After that, I lost weight at uni. Now I eat fairly healthily and don't drink as much as I did in first year. My weight is similar (maybe a little less) than when at home. -
Re: Did you put on weight at uni?Well I don't know about others, but I lost. It might shock some, it might not, but I lost 1st 4lbs/1st 5lbs in my first term.(Original post by Belle88)
In the title reallyyy. My friends all say that everyone puts on weight at uni and I just wondered if this was actually the case for most people...
I will make sure I don'tttt!!
.. i think its more likely that ill lose to much! im going to try to not let the scales sway either way!
