What subject?

and probably, it depends how much coursework contributes to it. If it's only like 25%/30% of your overall grade, then you could still get the A* yes.
Oh the irony that you live in Cambridge!
Depends on the subject and if you work hard for your exam !
Goodluck OP.
Definitely  I got a B in my biology and chemistry coursework (i was goddamn AWFUL! B was good for me) buckled down, and got A*s overall
Yes, but you need to get like 95%.

how in any way is that ironic?
Well you can guess it isnt in maths as it isnt that hard to work out you obviously can

I think you need 80% + in history to get an A*

Hey

Well, I got 71% on my 2 pieces of cw, which constitutes as being an A (9% away from a*) So is it still possible for me to achieve an A*?

By the way I do edexcel C if that helps:rolleyes:

Yes it is possible because the final grade is an average of all your grades for the subject. You have to do really well in the exam and get a mid-high/high A* to make up for the 9% in the coursework.
Hope that was helpful

If I read correctly, its 80% for an A*... so you would need 83%... I think :P

LoL how did you work that out?
And if your right, a rep is comng your way as that is pretty achievable (sp)

I think so, work as hard as you can (:

So, if the coursework is only 25%, and it is out of 100,
and the exam is also out of 100 then I would need 83/100 to get A*

The way I got that figure was treating the exam being out of 300 (so, 75% of the grade) making the total course out of 400. 80% is an A*, so 320 is needed.
320-71=249. So you'd need 249/300 for an A* overall, which = 83%

but my paper 1 an 2 combined are out of 100, would that still work?

hmm but my paper 1 and 2 are out of 100 combined, as p1= 40 and p2=60
so would your caclutations still stand?
and by the way cw is 25%
