Re: Top 10 UK Universities
I'm not at any of the universities in the list so I'm not being biased. I merely came across the list on the KCL page which had a link to it and thought I'd post it on here because I'm always seeing threads like these and people always give the top 10 in their opinions.
Here is the link if you want to check, which states the statistics of the top 10 UK unis in 2008.

Why on earth are you taking that league table more seriously than all the others (world or domestic). You're making it out as if it's fact. I can provide you with about eight different top tens quite easily.
The world league tables are particularly flawed and biased towards the larger research intensive unis and possibly those who have a strong presence in science (over those in the arts and social sciences). They're a pile of crap. -
Re: Top 10 UK UniversitiesApart from Kings which has only ranked in the top 10, 6 times out of 47 rankings in the main tables. Hardly consistantly - in fact hardly ever. A 1/8 ration means calling Kings a top 10 stupid.(Original post by Sophie K)
Well most league tables consider those to be the top 10 unis.
At least places like Nottingham, have ranked 19 times, which is roughly a 1/2.4 ratio or something.
Check wilipedia if you dont believe me. -

No one in the US would take that ranking seriously. UCL, King's, Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol aren't superior to Warwick and LSE. If anything, they're slightly inferior to both of them. -

More ridiculous generalisations from the one and only Iligan... Joker...
