Hello all!
Iam interesting in applying for phd in Computer Science field.
Could you please inform me about good universities in London?

I know about these :
- Imperial
- Essex

Surely the best thing for you to do would be to first decide what field you want to study and then select the University based on that?

Unfortunately that's not enough to get a PhD at those Universities. You need to have a well thought out research proposal in a very specialised field. The two you gave are far too broad.

Hes right, the EPSRC council will not even concider you for funding without a much more specialised proposal (assuming you are getting funding from them).
I advise you to go to the websites and see what projects are on.
I know imperial are doing some work in the field of ubiquitous computing, and all london unis have research in web technologies.
