Default Edward VI and Enlosure
 
Random question i know bur does enclosure come under social policy or economic policy?
Im doing an essay on edward's reign and well ive come to the part of the 1549 rebellions but am not sure wheather encolsure is part of social policy or economic?

It comes under both, it has both social and economic consequences. Which imho, both are as important as each other.

I would term it an economic policy with social results and side effects. The rationale behind enclosure was predominantly economic, and its pace was always closely linked to agricultural demand and the availability of economic gain. It certainly played a role in rebellions and was a contributing factor to urbanization in the early modern period, but in so far as it was a 'policy' it was always driven by economic as opposed to social goals.
