-->physics pendulum question

Hi,

Could someone please help me out with the following problem:

"A clock has a pendulum of period 2 seconds at a place where g= 9.81m/s^2. How many seconds would it lose or gain per day at a place where g=9.7m/s^2. ?"

The answer is 132.2 seconds...

My teacher showed me a really complicated way to solve this problem, which doesnt make a lot of sense to me...Does anyone know a easier way to solve this question??

Thank you..

I can't get your answer. But here's what I did.
Using this:
T = 2pi.rt(l/g)
T1 = 2pi.rt(l/9.81) = 2s
T2 = 2pi.rt(l/9.7)
-> T2/T1 = rt(9.81/9.7) = 2.01131s
-> T2 - T1 = 0.01131
1 day = 24hours = 86400 seconds = 43200.T1
The pendulum oscillates 43200 times per day.
If period of the pendulum is T2 -> 1 day = 43200.T2
-> Time gained per day = 43200.(T2-T1) = 43200*0.01131 = 448.6s
