Manchester Interview questions

Hi all, I had a "mirror" thread of this subject in another forum, but no replies before it sank to the second page, so I thought I'd try in the Manch board specifically

So, I have an interview at Manchester on the 25th, for the Japanese BA.
As I've never experienced a university interview before, do any more seasoned applications have any general advice to share? I know it may be mostly centered around the course subject but I'm looking for anyone's contribution :yep:

The guy holding my interview advised me that we'd chat for 15 - 20 minutes, then I'd be spending 30 - 40 minutes on a written task. (Responding to an article.) Has anyone else done this? Was it course-specific?

Also, am I supposed to have had / receive a letter to officially confirm it or anything? Nothing's come as of yet (and it only occured to me when I poked my nose in another thread) but I have confirmed time & date with the admissions guy through emails

not sure about your course
but optometry for me.... question were really general, they were quite informal...
and were more intrested in how much i am aware of the world
