which buffer solution in the reaction between catalase and hydrogen peroxide?

Anyone know which buffer solution to use in the reaction between catalase and hydrogen peroxide?

Monopotassium phosphate is a good buffer. It will absorb hydrogen ions free in the solution. A buffer is important in your reaction as enzymes have a highly specific tertiary structure, hence any slight change in PH will cause ionic base groups to alter which could cause denaturation

It is not all that critical which buffer you use just need, Monopotassium phosphate, is very effective

Hope this helps
If you need any extra help with this then PM me as I have done this experiment alot of times
Hi I'd be grateful to know what pH solution to use in my decomposition of hydrogen peroxide lab. I mean I want to study the rate of this reaction at different pH values (4, 7, 10, 12). Can I buy these solutions somewhere or should I prepare them myself? Thank you in advance!
