Hiya happy people!!!

I don't know if you've ever heard of it, but there's a TV programme called "University Challenge", where different Universities put forward teams, and compete in a general knowledge quiz.

Well anyway the other week they had the final, and Corpus Christi college Oxford won the competition, beating Manchester. I watched the programme with my best friend, Edmond, and we absolutely loved it. We've been addicted to it for ages.

Anyway, Corpus' team captain is a girl called Gail Trimble, and she practically won the competition for them. She is amazing! Just wow. Hehe.

She is so knowledgeable. She is so clever. I love her. You should google her.

Actually, the award has been handed over to Manchester as Oxford were disqualified- one of their team mates had already left the university. Fail.

Yeah and in all truth she did look like a complete freakshow and with a name like Gail, no matter how clever she is, in reality I doubt she'll get anywhere

In fact what is a 'university', I've heard the term bandied about a bit on this site but I'm still unclear as to what it means..

My maths teacher (who captained the winning team in 1995) said that this has been the case with many University Challenge winners (team mates no longer being at uni) and they've never been disqualified.
