    Oh lord...

What hairdressers are you going to? I'd call in and make an appointment just in case; it's pretty unlikely you can just walk in and get your hair cut.

Prices depend on the place. As a guide; OAP-ish places charge about £10-15 for a cut and blow-dry, whereas more "posh" ones charge more (I've been charged £55 for a cut and blow-dry once, best haircut I ever had though).

Getting your hair dyed professionally can be quite expensive. I've had my hair dyed at one place and highlighted at another and they were both roughly £90 (with a cut and blow-dry as well). Hope that helps!

It depends on where you are in the country though as well I think - salons in central London and big cities charge more than more out of town places. I have a half head of highlights, trim/cut and blowdry at HQHair in London and it's usually around £80-£90. I'd always call rather than just walk in, a lot of places you'll need an appointment but if its a last minute thing you could always phone on the day and ask if they could fit you in. I've just done that actually, and have an appointment for this afternoon. The last couple of times I've phoned and asked if they could squeeze me in that day and they've been able to, so give it a shot or just make a normal appointment. Make sure you explain exactly what you want over the phone (ie a proper blowdry after, all over colour, a style change etc) to check the price, you don't want to have your hair done and then be charged more than you thought.

This. And it depends like... If you're just going to a small local salon or somewhere that's part of a chain like Toni And Guy. My hairdresser owns her own little shop and she's amazing and really cheap I got my hair stripped, re-dyed, cut and blowdried and everything and it only cost me £50

Wow, that's really good! I'm just back from the hairdressers £113.50 worse off! And I didn't even have my hair trimmed! Although to be fair I did buy a heat protector thing and an OPI nail varnish too (and realised I have a colour almost identical already) - stupid store and all the tempting stuff, I guess I'm lucky I didn't end up spending more!

I can get my hair properly cut (not just a trim) for £9. These prices are scaring the hell out of me...
