Deferring a module to January - not sure..
Hi everyone
this is my first post. I've recently had to move sixth form colleges (for reasons totally out of my control). I was starting on the Cambridge Pre-U linear course (it is subject based like the A Level) in my previous college, though now because of the move I'm doing normal A Levels.
So having just completed my first week at my new sixth form college and found out about/got started on the AS course I've decided to try and get my French, German and English Lit AS Modules done this summer, even though it'll be three and a half months of hell (mostly with the English!!). I've got (yet another) dilemmna. I'm not sure whether to defer taking my Economics AS Module till January, because of the different syllabus, unlike the other students I don't have the luxury of having done Macroeconomics for the whole year.
My question is, if I lighten my work load this academic year and defer taking my Economics AS Module till January - will that have any negative impact on university applications or count against me in UCAS or in any other way possible (university wise especially)? Do the dates of taken modules get recorded for universities to see, so they know when I took each module? Also I have no idea what my workload for my A2 year will be like, so would deferring this module be worth it?
Thank you!
