No, of course not.

Don't be silly.
Capitalism undermines itself. It always has, and always will. Today it is working no better or worse than ever before, it's just taking it's course.

I don't like it, but it's doing what it says on the tin. Well, what it says in the small print, anyway.
Considering it was nowhere near capitalism in the first place, obviously not.

Does the gobal economic show that capitalisim has failed? Does this mean we should being adapting socilist veiws? Should all private sectors become state owned? Should we combine the both?

Go on tell me what u think!

It never failed because it never really existed. When politicians "regulate " banks on one hand, and on the other encourage them to lend money while promising guarantees, it's hardly called capitalism.

In true capitalism there are no guarantees of government bail - out, so you have to think twice about every dollar you lend.

Also in true capitalism you cant just print as much money as you want.
You have to back it with something, like gold.

Why is it that whenever someone talks about the failings of the USSR, the socialists angrily exclaim that socialism is not to be criticised on that basis because the Soviets were never truly socialist, but they're quite happy to lambast capitalism using evidence from a clearly mixed system?
Statism and regulation have failed.

Even if this global financial crisis was rooted in a failure of capitalism(which it is not) why would that suddenly make socialism a decent idea?

Communism is the ideas of the most smokescreened people. Capitalism is in my belief the only way in which the a country can be run correctly!

We've never had a true capitalist system.

true but what do you think of anarchisim???
I'm not an expert on captalism or any economic models, but am I right in thinking that, Capitalism works by relying on the economy growing? If so, the economy can only grow so far before it collapses as it appears to be doing now. So Capitalism may eventually fail but on the other hand it may not.
Bismarck
Capitalism works in cycles. That means it has its peaks and troughs. But each peak is higher than the last one, so the general trend is upwards. Socialism means stagnation. No peaks or troughs, but the economic level trends downward.

Ah thankyou for explaining.
