Pan as well, after having fried bacon first though. I only tend to make them with a fry-up, so I ensure I do the beans last as they are obviously the quickest and taste nicer when mixed with the bacon and tomato residue. Mmmmm.
Microwave, on diagonally cut toast arranged with a space in the middle of the plate. Pour beans into middle of the plate and allow toast to soak up all that tomatoey beany goodness

Put a bit of butter into the saucepan, and put it on the hothob. Quickly fry a clove of Garlic, until it smells good man, and then pour the beans in.
