I know a scheme wit Children's TV exists where there's a course you can audition for.

Don't know much more than that though.. Try Google.. :smile:
Basically I think you have to get as much experience as possible;try the BBC etc.And bombard studios etc with audition tapes :smile:
Instead of trying straightaway for BBC, your best bet is a small digital/cable station. There's about 400 channels on SkyDigital, including amateur stuff like FriendlyTV where they've let teenagers have their own weekly show doing whatever they want (completely unpaid). Most counties now have a local channel of sorts, in some cases for their Premiership team, it's easier to get experience that way. Then you've got your foot in the door - you could try bigger places with good examples of you on video/DVD. For BBC these days the Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism is almost essential for News, for Children's TV on the other hand it's still just a case of sending them a short video.
