Actually I'm not thinking of this or even next year really. I would want to save up fully for it so more like 2015 entry. So I could even get those A-levels tbh!

I think it will be ok, but did you take any bio or chem modules during your degree? Getting the A levels wont make any difference to them i dont think

I got a question spoke to a potential landlady and she said someone told her that you need to pay tax for your dog... have you heard of this and for those with dogs have you? or are you exempt because you are a student? Thanks

Hey Tigercallie, thanks for the reply...

No bio or chem courses in the degree, nope. You don't think they'd accept A-levels as substitute!? Ah why not?

    Thanks!

No, its not that they don't accept A levels. Its that you use A levels to get into the 6 year course - not the grad course. To get into the grad course they need to accept your degree.

I think they will, but i'd be more sure if it included bio and chem somewhere. It's kind of up to them, they have accepted things like agriculture and osteopath degrees before, but they'll have some bio in them, and osteo a lot of anatomy.

All you can do is wait and see what they say i guess. I'm sure it would have been ok in the past, but i think theyre getting a lot more applications now (could be something to do with the fees change in the UK i guess, or we're just getting more well known). But now i think they are a bit oversubscribed. If they refuse to accept your degree, you'll have to apply to the 6 year course with the A levels

Ive NEVER heard of this. Tonnes of people have dogs - we have two!

Edit: also, all taxes bills etc should be included in rent (thats how they do it over here - the landlord deals with it all), so it should really make your life more difficult (if its real!)

Probably no help at all but in German the dog licence is called Hundesteuer, ie. dog tax, and is linked to the dog's microchip number, so that might be what this landlady is talking about.....

Yes technically you should have a license for your dog here but I don't know a single person that does. Cats too apparently!

Come to think of it, it could be the little tag you get for the collar at the vets (i think). You get a new one each year and it has to be on the collar so that's probably it. I know my friends dog has it but i've never really thought about what it actually was before.

oh another question... anybody got cars or know people who do? are they expensive and is insurance and other stuff need expensive? perhaps looking into getting a car to get myself to and from slovakia during holidays might be a better option that putting dog into cargo all the time (expensive)...

Yes one of my friends has a car (and is looking to sell it too if you're interested). She's actually the same one that has the dog. I'll message you her name and maybe you could add her on facebook and ask.
