Taking the year out and deferring my exam entries?- Is this possible?
Now I know policies vary from uni to uni but I just want to ask whether this kind of thing could have a chance of being granted. Basically, I've been feeling very down throughout this term and I was dealing with a couple of personal issues and as a result, missed a lot of lectures. I really want to defer my exam entries so that I could do them next summer and take a year out to think things through. I know of friends who have taken the year out after the second year but I just want to know whether it's possible for exam entries to be deferred as well. I am not doing this because of end of term stress and fear of coming exams, I truly feel that I could pass if I went with it. It's just I want to actually enjoy my degree and learn things rather than just gather up some last minute facts to scrape a pass as I've realised that I only have one more year left and I haven't had a chance to learn or read about things properly this year due these personal issues. What are your thoughts?
