Only proper encounter I have had was when I was 12 and one chased me up goodramgate in York (who must have been about 15) because he thought I was following him, when actually I'd just walked past him a few times throughout the day.
Anyway after he confronted me saying something like "y' ******' followin me dick head" I ran away and into a shop, he ran in afterwards and slipped on the doormat hit his head on the floor and started crying. Any fear of chavs I had kind of evaporated from there on.
I must seem a bit imposing these days as no one ever seems to bother me, though im probably just lucky
