What sort of genres do you think are underrepresented in current popular music?

I think Blues Rock needs a come back. Loud but clean guitars with blues scales and aggressive drumming... aah, come back, White Stripes, there's been noone like you since.

With you 100%. Nothing better than a bit of Cream/Deep Purple/Lynyrd Skynyrd

Anarchist music that isn't too loud to understand or appreciate and isn't dominated by fashion anarchists. In fact any intelligent, considered politically far far left music at all... Please! It's been too long!

Hmm.. As for popular music, i'm not really sure. Perhaps a slightly lefter/more politically aware version of folk/anti-folk or country music should be on the cards.

The Chumbas are still making music, although they're strictly acoustic now, and there's always people like Atilla the Stockbroker.

edit: and the Levellers/New Model Army, of course. Both still going strong.

Country rock, to be honest. Guitary with southern accented singer. Maybe a slide guitar or two.

Cream ftw!!

We need proper musicians like the '60's with amazing guitarists, song writers and bands. We need bands not doing it to jump for money or for profit...just doing it for the music.
