Default University in Florida

I have just recently been offered a scholarship at a University in Florida, St. Petersburg. Has anyone had the experience of University over there and would be able to help me out? I have never even been to America, yet I am going over there to Study and any advice and tips would be helpful.

Cheers =)

Is is the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg? or is it Eckerd College or somewhere else?

If it's USF St. Pete:
GO THERE.

I went to USF for my undergrad degree and spent nearly every semester on the St. Pete campus taking several classes. It is beautiful, there is housing a block away (the bedrooms are a bit small, but the living room is big with, at least in my friend's apartment, a HUGE, nearly floor-to-ceiling window), the teachers are world class, the class sizes are small, everyone is really friendly, it is super laid back, etc etc.

Eckerd is nice as well, I've only visited there once, but it's got a great name, the SU is big and nice, I think the teachers are pretty good (the guy who wrote Mystic River teaches there every other semester I think). It's in a good location but you'd probably need a car or use the less than stellar public transpo system, or have a friend/roomie who drives (Which, if they're from here, everyone does).
