Choosing a career: Getting your ideal job
Is enough thought going in to choosing a career and getting your ideal job?
How much do we really know about the usual suspects (times top 100 employers) and are we missing great opportunities with smaller, equally prestigious firms, but lesser known companies because we are swooped of our feet by elaborate marketing campaigns and the the lure of 60-80 hour work-weeks for huge sums of money?
No matter what university your at or have been at, describe your experience... how did you find out about employers, what were the deciding factors in your quest for your ideal job, is there enough practical information, are we spoilt for choice??? Are we just lazy, or concentrating on our studies and personal lives so much so that we leave the job-hunt either too late, or just prepare ourselves to take whatever will suffice, to continue to focus on graduating with a 2:1+...?
