Attenborough Tower?

Does anyone know if the Attenborough Tower is open at weekends or do you need a swipe card to get in? My friend said that for some places you need a swipe card for weekends but she wasn't sure about Attenborough.

Anyone?

Tried going there earlier today and could get into the lower part of the building but not the actual tower.

No idea, but my department's in there so all things being well when I arrive at Leicester I'll get a ride on the paternoster ^^
It's open at general university opening times, you don't need a card or anything - you only need a card for the medical area of the campus, with all the expensive equipment. You wouldn't really need to use the tower at weekends anyway, it's mainly offices, seminar rooms and lecture theatres.

I swear it never gets old!!! My fondest memory is of falling off it the first time I tried to 'alight' it!!
