Well pubs - there are 3-4 pubs in town, that many clubs, some 2-3 bars on campus with food, drinks and big tv screens. Union is okey, has the stuff you need, the town and the campus are friendly, accommodation is alright, people are generally nice (you will find exceptions everywhere, but at least most people here are not cocky which is great as I hate cocky people).
Agree with most of that, apart from the number of pubs, there's many more pubs in town.

Well, Ive been to 3 or 4 and they were good ones, dont really need any more than that OP, well Bristol and Southampton are the other good unis in the field. Ive heard good stuff about the Electrical at Southampton so its worth giving it a try there too and Bristol's engineering depts are generally well recognized across the industry. But the three of them are more or less on par in terms of reputation (below Cambridge and Imperial of course) so if you get offers from the three of them and decide not to go to Cambridge you should really base your choice on where you will feel best I think tough choice but life is all about making the right decisions.
Only if you do loadsa sports, socialise a lot , party a lot and stuff loughborough is the choice for you.
I dont do "loadsa" sports and party almost none but I still know Loughborough is the right place for me because of the education it gives me. You dont have to be an irresponsible alcoholic who cares about football and rugby to come here to study, you know In fact many of 2 and 3 years guys on engineering courses are completely different from what you described as they do lots of work and have some partying going on like once or twice a week so that they can relief the pressure from studies. Drinking and partying is for the freshers in most cases and happens almost everywhere as I guess thats the culture of the students in the country
