Excellent suggestion you can get £50 an hour busking in York. Dunno what it's like where you are but it's worth a shot.

Go out to town tonight and see how much money the drunks give you

Yeah! I'm sure you could take a guitar and serenade the drunken masses with a bit of Tarrega!

If I can't prove I made the money, I have to get a 'real' job. I wanted to avoid that because people suck. I could easily have made this money, I'm just too lazy. Also, no, assuming I work at the minimum wage I'd earn £480/month if it was full time, part time would be piss all.

Get a grip. You sound like a hormonal 15 year old.

Explain to your parents that you've messed up and hope they appreciate your honesty and ability to admit failure. I know if it were my parents they would respect that and it would make up for the disappointment.

In the same way they supported you when you broke the news you were studying theatre.

So are you still in school? I assuke so as you are under 21 - youre probably in school or college. I know its hard to work that much whil still having loads of school work to do. But its possible. I did it and still got god grades etc - good luck.

One minute - how old are you? they want you to pay rent

I'm 17, I would earn £3.53 an hour. I was at college, but the 'education' they were providing me was useless so I quit half way through the year. I'm now doing nothing and my parents want me to pay £120/m to live here.

so you do nothing all day? every day?

why dont you just get a job? Iwas earning £400 a month whilst still at school.

I think the best thing for you isnt to necceceraly get a job in a supermarket or something like that though - as that is only ever going to be a short term option to get some money. If you dont like/do well at school/college - ever thought of going to a vocational college and doing a trade like plumbing etc - and getting a job that way. Or just find something you are interested in and follow that - getting a crappy little job in a supermarket is going to nothing for you in the long run

My problem is not money, I could earn enough to get by if I wanted I just can't push myself enough to actually do it, I'm basically extremely lazy. I would get a job, but because I don't want one, or care about having one I can't be arsed to try and apply to loads.

I do nothing everyday, I get up, sit at my PC then waste away 12 hours. I don't dislike school, I'd love to go into education and learn however all I've found in education is incompetent teachers and/or students who are there for the EMA. This was the case at college, course was too easy so I learnt nothing and the people were morons.

I'll probably end up getting a 'crappy job' in a supermarket, I just can't find an easy one to get; there's always going to be someone who cares more about it than me and they'll get it.

Not true. You could earn as little as that, but you could easily find something paying more if you put in the effort to look and to work hard.

I've worked for about that amount to make money. Do 7 hours a day for a few 5-day weeks and you're making about £125 a week. Not great, but it's something. And spending a few weeks being bored to tears and doing manual work that makes the joints in your hands click and ache will give you the kick up the backside that you're apparently in need of.

Or you could sell your parents like someone suggested. I thought that was a good idea.
Poker.
Lol most people have said it anyway but maybe become a male escort...fast!
But in all seriousness, I don't know like take some stuff and go sell it to your friends or something....

Full time at minimum wage is more than 480 quid a month. I earn 250 quid a month for working minimum wage, 10 hours a week.

And go learn about minimum wage. You're 17. Minimum wage is 5.73 an hour.

and you're a typical idiot. No offense. You see yourself above everyone. Wrong. You said it yourself, you get up and spend 12 hours on the PC. You're very lazy and basically you're the bottom of the food chain. If you had an sort of brain you'd get up and go to college, and I doubt you found it easy. I bet you found it hard, it takes effort and it's not something you can do nothing at and come out with an A in law, psychology and media studies.

Grow up.

Actually, he is right about the minimum wage.
HM Revenue & Customs
What are the current rates of the national minimum wage?

There are three levels of minimum wage, and the rates from 1 October 2008 are:

* £5.73 per hour for workers aged 22 years and older
* A development rate of £4.77 per hour for workers aged 18-21 inclusive
* £3.53 per hour for all workers under the age of 18, who are no longer of compulsory school age

But of course, that doesn't mean he has to get a job that pays that little.

I find it odd he has yet to reveal exactly what it is he can do to earn £100 an hour on the internet. The time he has spent arguing on here he could have made the needed money.

I don't see myself as above anyone, why would I? I however dislike people, doesn't mean I think I'm better than anyone, I know I'm not.

I have like, 3 GCSE's, nobody would pay me more.

Arguing? Lol. I've spent about 5 mins here, but it's not as easy as I made out really  The only 'hard' part is finding it, but it isn't too hard, if I were to account for time spend finding the 'work' I could make about £50/hour, but as said, I'm too lazy.

I think you're seriously depressed. Spending 12 hours a day on your computer isn't healthy. I don't blame your parents for trying to get you working!

By the way, it's quite rare that jobs actually pay minimum wage these days.
