Yes. Medicine and law are very presdigious subjects, and a BTEC or vocational GCSE wold not be well respected. Go for something like history if you can.
Yes, they are completely useless for both, especially medicine.

If you want to do law, you will be looking and humanities and english.

If you want to do medicine, you will be looking for very good qualifications in Maths and Sciences. Especially Chemistry.
to do medicine you kinda need a-levels really....lol
