How many did you get to choose ?. We only got to choose three.


PE - 1 GCSE
triple science - 2 GCSE
re - 1 GCSE
maths - 1 GCSE
art - going to fail epically
geography 1 GCSE
english - 1 GCSE

If I pass all of them I can only possibly get 7 A* - C 's. Why the hell do I hear about people getting 8 or more GCSE's , even cases of 10 + GCSE's.

I did 12 GCSEs, just because my school allowed me to. The number you do really doesn't matter, though. Don't worry about it.

Do you not get two English GCSEs (one in Literature, the other in Language)? I also thought you get three with triple science, whereas you get two GCSEs with double award science.

I did 12 and an AS- my school allowed me to take a double option instead of a single and 2 extras because I proved that I could. People at my sixth form have 14. It's quality not quantity

We got to choose three too. Unfortunately for my school it was more about quantity rather than quality; I'd rather have done less GCSEs and got better grades.

Well everyone in my school did 12 but we did separate sciences.

My school allowed us to choose 3.

Due to some retarded system, I got 4 GCSEs in science. (Three separates, and Core which covers the first third of each.)

We got to choose 4, one of which had to be a technology subject.

I took 11 GCSE's- (1 outside of school which I chose to do) and of the 10 I did inside school I had a free choice over 4 (I chose History, Geography, Drama & Classics) and a choice between French or German for one of them. And Tripple Science is three GCSE's, the clue is in the name.

I did 17 IGCSEs, although I had to study for 5 of them on my own.

I'm sure neglish is 2 and triple science 3?
it depends on the school, i did 12 but alot of mine was double and triple for a subject, I was allowed to choose 4 of those inc triple science.
don't worry you are not in any disadvantage to other students

I did 11 GCSEs, of which 4 I was allowed to choose (not including triple science) and one was an off-timetable I tacked on, Latin.
