For any reapplicants (I applied to Oxford last year, but it's sort of the same) - even though I still might not be applying - maybe you should go for all excellent unis just so you feel you haven't missed out, or lost anything, if you get rejected. Although with 3As (which you'd have anyway) then that's sort of given I guess.

And to whoever said that there are lots of economists - I can see what you mean -stares at all potential economists on this thread already- good luck guys

It's inevitable that there'll be billions of NatScis as well though, so I guess I can't really talk XD

I hate the SAQ, it's going to get me rejected straight out because I'm resitting a bloody resit.

You know very well that is not true. One resit will not get you rejected.

But it's a re-resit!! (as in, the same unit sat three times)

It still won't matter as they'll see the different grades.

I believe you're made to declare every mark for each unit, whether it's a resit or not.

Whether you do or not is besides the point. You will not be rejected for one re-resit.

Yeah I guess you're right. Should just make sure the final grade is very good (120/120 please ). That does of course depend on whether or not I do apply.

Are you applying?

Plus, I guess I'm slightly allowed to get ahead of myself. I don't really need particularly high scores to get As overall (I'm doing A2s).

So your reapplying?...interesting.

Not for certain. It depends on the grades I get for A levels and how I feel in the summer (plus, it might still be to Oxford). I'm still trying to decide between UCL and St Andrews at the moment. If I'm at St As I might apply during first year.

I don't want to discourage you, but think. If you reapply next year and don't get an offer from either Ox/Cantab you may not have backup offers as good as UCL/St A's you got this year...

Just something to think about, as I don't think UCL/St A'S would accept an application for you next year..considering they gave you an offer this year and you refused it. (If you actually do this obviously)

Are you applying?

I really don't know as I have already applied this year but not to Cambridge. If I get the grades then I may apply but I wouldn't know what to do during my gap year.

Also tuition fees would be a big decider in my case as I will definitely not be reapplying if they go up.
