How would you define a "boring" person?

See the thread title. At what point does someone become "boring" to you? How would you tell whether someone was just a boring person, or just shy about their talents?

haha, i would say one which talks about things that dont interest you and insists on talking about them and makes them out to be better than sliced bread!

clearly its subjective, but a boring person to me would be someone with narrow interests, lack of desire/ambition, etc.

Someone who has NO opinion at all. Someone that is usually a passive agressive, and doesn't assert any kind of authority or force. Maybe someone that doesn't have an interesting hobby or interest.

Someone I can't have a conversation with, and who makes no effort to talk to me anyway. Tone of voice plays a part as well.

I can think of a few, i.e. one of my flatmates and his friends. ALL they do is sit in his room smoking, drinking nasty lager and playing on fifa or god forbid, COD occasionally. They do nothing else AT ALL.

I think I am quite boring because I love mundane hobbies like reading etc. but I am really enthusiastic about what I enjoy and expressing the things that interest me but even I think I am seriously dull. :rolleyes:

i dont know really, most people who meet me would call me boring (which im not) because i just dont have much to say to some people if i dont have anything in common with them, that doesnt mean i dont like them, but they tend to think it means i do and am boring. i try not to judge people or call anyone boring because they can be and often are completely different with different people

I mean most of the time, yes there are some people who don't care, but equally there are also people about who genuienly can't think of anything relavent to say, so they just sit quiet.

Someone who doesn't have any opinons, they kind of make you as a person. Someone who types 'lol' after everything you type on messenger. Someone who you can never seem to exceed into anything but small talk in a conversation. Someone who never thinks outside the box, or has any sort of weird sense of humor. Genually petty, boring people. People who gossip normally. Genually the majority of people at university who spend all their time on facebook.
