Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)
I've seen this on InvestYourChest which is a rough starters guide for measuring at home:
I've been wearing a 32B, which I knew I was too small for in the cup size, I've just bought and tried on a 32C and I think the band is far too big, so this could be a close estimate. I think I'll be better going in somewhere and trying on a few bras as I don't trust M&S for measuring.

Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)It's not particularly embarrassing - you keep your bra on and the bra-fitters do measuring all day, it's nothing out of the ordinary for them! Saying that, take your own measurements and read a few guides on Bravissimo and Figleaves about how a good bra should fit, then go to Debenhams/Bravissimo/somewhere with lots of choice and get about a billion sizes to try until you find one that fits(Original post by :)ella)
I can never find the right size, but I feel too awkward to get a bra measurement

I was wearing a 32B, and it wasn't fitting correctly.
I tried 30D first, because that's what a couple of websites told me - the band was way too tight.
I've tried 32C, and whilst it fits me way better than the 32B, sometimes the cups are just a bit too big. -
Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)I'm no expert, so I could be wrong, but often you might need to go up a cup size with push up bras.(Original post by rainbow.panda)
Has anyone got any experience of push-up bras? I got one in a 28DD (the size that works 99% of the time) and it's giving me the 4-boob effect, is that meant to happen? It's from M&S and they don't do it in cup sizes larger than DD
Debenhams should be good for you, they do small back sizes that go up quite high, I think it's the Gorgeous range.

Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)
I am just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for large back sizes and averagey cup sizes
I am currently wearing a 40C, but I could do with a bigger back size due to it digging in, but I love cute bras with matching pants and the like.
I don't really want to get measured as i'm very insecure bodywise due to a weird bodyshape etc. -
Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)If it's digging in it's more likely to do with the cups being too small and the back being too big. Do you know what your bust and underbust measurements are, if you don't mind me asking?(Original post by frangoddard)

I will have a measure. I generally just roll with what fits and its never particularly comfy.(Original post by rainbow.panda)

This was posted from The Student Room's Android App on my GT-I9070 -
Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)Yeh, it's best to measure yourself first to get an idea of what your size is, then try bras on and see what fits best.(Original post by frangoddard)

Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)If you look in the Bravissimo sale there are a few under £20(Original post by such_a_lady)
Swimsuit recommendations for a 30FF under 20 pounds if possible?

Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)
I usually wear a 32C or a 32D and I've noticed that even though they're not uncomfortable at all, they leave red lines on my sides when I take them off. I tried sizing up to a 34C but it's way too loose around my ribs and I don't feel like I'm getting any real support. Does anyone have any advice?

Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)You'll find that even when wearing your correct size the bra will leave red marks on your body because the band has to fit snugly to give you support, but these should go away after a while. If it's leaving lasting marks on you though then that's a sign that you're not wearing the right size.(Original post by jools.x)

This is the most accurate bra size calculator I've found (it doesn't use the +4/5 inch rule): http://www.sophisticatedpair.com/bracalculator.htm -
Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)I just tried this website and it said 30D for me at moderately snug... I've tried one before and couldn't even get the back clasped together!(Original post by rainbow.panda)

On slightly snug it says 32C, which is what I'm currently wearing. I do still have problems with some cups being a little big though. -
Re: Boobs, Lingerie & Bra Questions Thread (Continued)
Guys.. any places where students can buy affordable bras? On quite a budget here and I'd ideally be wearing 28FF or 26G in an ideal world but no chance of that any time soon
.. Don't get me started on M&S though because in my experience those bras have been the most uncomfortable!! Or maybe I didn't get the right kind hmmmm decisions decisions..
.... Just had to share my bargain!
