Re: curve sketching revision.
Are you at GCSE or AS-level?
If you're at AS, differentiate the equation of the curve to get  and then solve the equation  ; this will give you the x-coordinates of the maxima and minima. To find the values of x where the curve touches the x-axis, you'll have to guess one root, then use the factor theorem.
If you're at GCSE, I think this question's a bit beyond your level.
