If you do theology then make sure you do a one year PGCE afterwards so you can teach.
Philosophy can be good for all careers also.
Actually yeah I would recommend philosophy as a degree.

What about another medical profession if you originally wanted to be a doctor? I used to want to be a doctor, but am now considering becoming a nurse or midwife.

Well, you said you're interested in religion and I assumed this meant you enjoyed debate and looking into things that have interested humans for ages!
I haven't studied philosophy myself but I believe it is a very interesting topic and definitely shows many useful skills involving logic, reasoning and analysis. These skills would be useful and desired in many top graduate jobs. Unless you want to be a doctor or something similar, a degree shouldn't be seen as vocational.
Do something that proves your intelligence and education!

Personally, I'm going to do medicine myself :p

Also PM me if you want; I'd absolutely love to help you!

i dont know much about it really. i have an impression that it would involve either being stuck in a lab all day of behind a counter! and i really want to be surrounded by people, so theres the problem! unless my idea of a pharmacist is terribly unaccurate!

I have always liked to be with people, and my mum used to be a nurse and she loved it. I just like the idea of looking after people, and being someone they will remember. I guess just helping people through difficult times. Also, it's always busy and never boring! I also definitely dont want to work in an office because it is soo not me- would rather be actually doing something and directly helping people. Also, health has ALWAYS been where I wanted to be, so I know i definitely want to work in healthcare.

The midwife thing was suggested to me by my mum when I said that I was unsure if I could cope with constantly being with people who are ill and scared etc. Midwifery is similar to nursing, but with mostly healthy patients! Its just not just about delivery babies, it also involves ante-natal sessions with the mother, helping the mother with the baby for a couple of weeks etc. It is also nice, because often you get to know the women you look after, and people always say that they remember their midwife.

As you can see, I can't really explain why I would like to be a nurse or midwife, I just know that it would be well suited for me!

Noooo, being a pharmacist is great if you wanna combine science, working with/helping people and being part of a multi disciplinary healthcare team . You should definitely look into it - especially hospital pharmacy.

Nah not at all really unless you choose to specialise in that area. You might have to spend a little of time in there when you're training and a junior pharmacist but mostly it's out on the wards with some time in the dispensary once you're qualified.
