Re: The Official LSE Accommodation ThreadQuoting from another poster.(Original post by El Mariachi)
Yeah, that's what I read, but then upon reading some of last year's threads, some people got their accommodation confirmed in April...before the deadline for applying?
'The admissions policy for halls of residence is based on a lottery. Before you apply, they pick certain numbers that will get in and others that won't. Your application will come in and if you get lucky, the number you're assigned matches a winning place. Thus, it makes absolutely no difference when you apply, even though some people are getting their places confirmed before you've even sent off your application.'
Be nice to get a place before I leave the UK -
Re: The Official LSE Accommodation ThreadAhhhhh I seeeee, thanks for that, was useful. I might wait until the Visit Day before applying then, I assume we'll have a chance to look round some accommodation then..(Original post by Cat_Forbes)

Re: The Official LSE Accommodation ThreadUnfortunately they are mutually exclusive because as most people know 99% of socialising at the LSE occurs within the bathroom or around the toilet area.(Original post by Cat_Forbes)
Have no idea what to choose. Only priorities are not sharing a toilet with 10 others and good social life. Hopefully these arent mutually exclusive. -
Re: The Official LSE Accommodation Thread(Original post by El Mariachi)
Bankside have the most en-suite I think.
Question: if you don't get an en suite @ Rosebery, how many people do you have to share a toilet with?
i think at northumberland its only one other person u share with
at high holborn its definately 4
and at rosebery i think its 4 but im not 100% dead cert -
Re: The Official LSE Accommodation Thread
That picture of the Rosebery room looks shocking lol. My one is much nicer and once you get a few photos and pictures up it's like a little home away from home.

Actually I believe Rosebery is getting completely re-done over the summer so the rooms will be nice and modern for the new freshers. And that lottery system is ********, everyone I know who applied early and put rosebery as their first choice got it.
I think I share 2 toilets and a shower with like 5 other peeps but its not an issue for me really. -
