    Thanks Dan!

I've just sent a quick email off to the halls, and also one to Neuadd Willis, to see what my chances are, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see when they reply.

    :O That's strange.

    Welcome week looks fun!

I thought that, but then I was thinking maybe people who had insurance offers as I did, won't get theirs for another few days.....I hope so anyway :p:

They provide shower curtains, and you're only allowed to put posters up on the noticeboards they provide (which to be fair, are fairly big).

    Bangor was insurance...no accommodation?
Near enough everyone i've spoke to thats going Bangor has had their accommodation through the post this morning with their welcome pack...I only got the welcome pack
Will this be because Bangor was my insurance choice so I might hear back in a few days? I did apply before the deadline so i'm hoping i'll get into my first choice

Does anyone have any details on what the internet is like in Neuadd Willis? Just found out that I might be able to get a room there, and I'm curious. I mean, I'm sure it's fine, but I was wondering if it was unlimited downloads (everyone has download limits in Australia, I'm not sure what is common in the UK), what the access and speed is like, or whatever anyone can tell me.

I haven't had mine either And it was my firm, I got the standard welcome pack and a psychology welcome pack but no information on my hall or when I'm moving in... I thought perhaps because I applied for the new new halls? Maybe they're not ready yet and are having to move me temporarily I dunno, I'm sure it will be fine though

EDIT: I also applied the day it became available so I doubt it's because of a late application :p:

Well one of the ones I applied for is a new one but i've seen some people have been allocated a place there so it can't be because of that :dontknow:
I think we'll hear withing the next few days anyway, they can't send letters so they arrive on the same day for every single student I guess :p:

If it makes you feel any better, Bangor was clearing for me & I sent off the accommodation form... today...

I also spoke to them on the phone and they said everyone was guaranteed a place, I'm just hoping its not a tent or something.

Well I am almost certain that this is the top floor as it is a 5 storey block and they usually go:

    C000
    c100
    c200
    c300
    c400

If that makes sense, which is pretty good but I am not jealous of you having to run dowstairs in the middle of the night for a fire alarm :P

Oh that's good news! I wanted to be on the top floor. However I'm not looking forward to those fire alarms!

The least you will have is 2, one each side of Christmas and they are drills with wardens waiting outside and they time you. If your halls fails that and takes ages you have to do it another day, varying from about 12- 4am.

This is without the genuine fire alarms when some idiot forgot how to make toast, in my halls we had about 20 of these... with a fire engine turning up each time and I was in the smallest halls on the site. Although I have friends who have never had one of these so it depends who you have in your halls.

Haha you have a fun year ahead of you
