Facebook has its pros and cons.

    Pros:
Ability to talk to your long last relatives
General chit chat when you need it most
See the latest news from family members at home

    Cons:
    System still not developed fully
Chat system is not as good as everyone hopes
    Design changed every 3 months
    Addicting!

I like facebook and visit the site often at home. I think its a good thing that its banned from school. I dont know about others but i would be spending my free school hours on there instead of studying. So in that case, no facebook for school.

I think it should be banned from schools and the workplace. It is not proactive towards work and thus should not be accessed when you should be working. It is the same as using work time to access a game and should not be accepted.

What I do think is a major issue on facebook is its use by employers to fire people who say anything negative about their place of work. I think this is atrocious as only an idiot would expect all there employees to be continuously happy with their work and by firing them for expressing dislike they are firing them for having an opinion they don't agree with. As long as a person doesn't spread lies that would damage the reputation of an employer they should be allowed to express their opinions without fear of repercussion.

Its banned at work (hence why I'm on here) and with absolutely everything else blocked, its not a very fun place. It was unblocked for a while, then the bast@rds took it away again

You say its not proactive but I have nothing to do!

Yeah I like facebook. Its much better than other sites like Bebo and myspace in my opinion.

Because of Facebook, and because of worldwide popularity I have been able to get in touch with one friend who I haven't seen or spoken too in just over ten years, and two more friends who I haven't seen or spoken too in at least 12 years, not to mention countless of other friends from school and everything else.

Plus its great for spying on people :-)

It's good to keep up with parties etc and keep in touch with people but a little scary in ways how easy it is to find people and what info some people put on it!

Unnecessary use of the word "like" in a sentance! Learn to speak properly, dear.

I only got a facebook because my mom (!!!) made me. She's addicted. I had a myspace for a while (because a friend made me get one - see a theme here?) and they're practically the same now.

However, I've recently become addicted to it.

I'm at school now and on facebook even though it's banned. I am such a rebel. Proxies WIN!

I am completely addicted to Facebook and i love it so much cause it enables me to see what everyone's been up to. I am nearly always on facebook when i'm on a computer however a couple of weeks ago it was banned in school which i thought was unfair but i guess they were right to, cause it stopped us working i guess.... :s
