I was just wondering what you thought was the best for a 1st timer to contraception.

I have heard the pill is the most common, but I am kind of worried, as I am totally forgetfull.

Then there is the injection, this is the one that is appealing to me the most at the moment because it means I wont have to remember to take anything, and it doesnt last for too long.

And then there is implants, I think this is a bit of a big one to have for 1st time?

I would advise possibly the pill and condoms, but it depends how far in advance you are looking? Most pills take a week to take affect but it will take a couple of weeks for you to get used to using them.

the pill is good, i'm on the pill and i have been for 3 years. i forget to take it sometimes to, leave it in a place you look at a certain time everyday, but most definitely use a condom, the pill, injection and implant can protect you from getting pregnant but not from getting a STI

Oh so mean first time alternative-to-condom-ness, not first time sex?

The Pill I guess. Just go to your Dr and discuss what is best for you.

Easy way to remember to take your pill thats never let me down - set a recurrent alarm on your mobile phone. Even if your phone is switched off the alarm will sound.
