Corr that's a difficult question. It will vary - the work produced to attain a distinction will be different to that which will attain a pass. Grades won't only depend on the final visual outcome(s) but also supporting sketchbook work which will need to be detailed and relevant at all times.

This is a photograph of my final exhibition; 4 square photographs and 2 handmade books.

Showing a variety of outcomes, not just prints, is a good idea. I found my tutors liked to see photographs being used within different mediums such as bookmaking. It just puts images into a slightly different context.

Sorry that was a bit of a ramble, and it hasn't given you a very clear idea. But it will vary greatly.

I did photography at A Level but my work during that was nothing like the work I was producing for foundation. Foundation really helped me find my style and my tutors pushed me more by giving more honest critiques of my images.

My foundation course was a Lens based media one so in the first few months I looked at film, animation and photography. I then specialised in photography for my final major project. I didn't do a lot of drawing, we just had a couple of compulsory life drawing sessions and that was it.

Oh, I'm sure you'll be fine. There will be others in the same situation as you! I was worried about it too my life drawings were absolutely awful. But just put a bit of your own style into it and it'll be fine.

Just find a way to incorporate your strengths into each project that you have to do. My film piece was just made up of photographs, for example.

For my foundation portfolio I just had some sketchbooks, a range of photographs and some graphic design/film pieces. Nothing particularly impressive, but I just talked a lot about my ideas and how I wanted to expand my knowledge of certain subject areas. They seemed to like that.

Yeah, film pieces would be good. They may not be able to watch the actual films, so perhaps make a few still shots from it and print those out as well. Composing a film shot has its similarities with composing a photograph so it's all useful.
would i do like a shot for the dvd cover or poster or something? but not actualy make them because i think that will look really immature. i could say like what images i'd chose for advertising purposes and stuff?

You could do, but you don't have to. Some nicely printed still shots would be nice so that you are able to talk through the plot of the film if the interviewers aren't able to view the piece directly.

Making posters/DVD covers etc would be good if you're good at graphic design. But I wouldn't just make them for the sake of it. Only show your best work at interview - the pieces that you are able to talk confidently about.
