Default Biochemistry

Hi i would like to take your thoughts on the biochemistry course at imperial, if any current biochemistry students are here or others that have further knowledge of the course, if they could give me and others that are interested a brief description of the course, for instance;a rough time table, how many hours of lectures, lab work there are, how dificult they find the coures, and how much spare time they have and also how much work they do generally outside lectures.

and anything else they would like to add about the course

and which course would you recomend for post graduate medicine, Biochemistry or Microbiology

Many thanks!

My girlfriend is Biochemist at Imperial and in answer to your questions:

Timetable:
Lectures 10.00 - 12.00 Monday - Friday
Practicals: 3 hours p/w (usually one 14.00 - 17.00 session)
Tutorials: 6 hours p/w (usually as two 14.00-17.00 sessions)

Course difficulty: Pretty damn hard.

Spare time: A fair amount in Autumn and Spring terms, pretty much none in Summer.

External work: 10 - 20 hours p/w.

Hope this helps!
