To add some context, I was sucessful at AIB for pilot a little while ago only to subsequently fail the medical on eyesight grounds. My lifelong dream is to fly and I just want to know which avenues may be open to me.
Google it or ask on ARRSE - I don't have the docs to hand. TPD might though ....

Thanks for reply. I've just gone on Army website and spoke to a careers advisor (would have done this earlier but was at work) who told me that upper age limit is 26 on commencement of Officer training not 28 as the website suggests. Rules me out...

Guess some things are just not meant to be. Any advice from anyone about other ways I could pursue flying as a career? I'm not rich or anything!
Whoa has it changed? When did it change?

Ask on the AAC forum of ARRSE for clarification. They also have AAC recruiting contact details on there, I can't get them at the mo.

Have triple checked and it's definitely 26... :frown:
