hey,
iv been doing the iodine clock reaction with H2O2 KI and H2SO4. Iv got decent enough results for the rate equation and activation energy, but the actual rate equation and EA dont make any sense!

-d[H2O2]/dt = k1[I-][H2O2] mol-1 dm3 s-1 ln(A/u) = 18.21 AE = 56.1 KJ
+ k2[I-][H2O2][ H+] mol-2 dm6 s-1 ln(A/u) = 15.84 AE = 43.5 KJ

Its almost as if there are 2 values for k, and that the rate equation/AE is split into 2 parts. Im not sure how to interpret this

THANKS

What order do you get with respect to to the reagents you use?
