basically, its the absolute function or the modulous which gives a numerical value regardless of sign. (sorry if you already knew that)
on the calculator you can but in any negative value and it will always come out positive

but still like how ....am i supposed to press shift & then the abs button......and does this function help you more than that ...???

once you've done that input the value you trying to calculate
