can anyone help with this sort-of sociology question?

My cousin needs some ideas on answering this question:

“Ulrich Beck suggests that the risk society is a place of freedom and fear. What is the relationship between risk and culture?”

So far shes covered:
* Outlined Beck’s view on advanced modernity and the risk society that’s associated to it.
* included how inventions of new developments/technologies are linked to inventions of a new accident linked that development (eg the invention of the train meant the invention of the train wreck. etc)
* explained the politics of freedom, used to bring people together and understand each other better.
* explained the politics of fear, used to segregate people and exclude people (eg BNP, KKK etc)
*talked about how ‘cultural globalization’ has been described as a surrogate debate about America. How globalization is a risk to traditional cultures and societies, cause globalization tries to spread new technologies and products everywhere.. meaning to spread more risks.

but running out of things to include.. cause the essay is 3,500 words!!!!

many thanks to those who can offer some input :tsr:
