Pet fish at uni?

Heya was wondering if fish tanks are banned in uni accomidation? or if that would be enforced?

Im going to the self catering at edinburgh if anyone knows anything specific but any advice would be greatly apreciated.

My friend's at Edinburgh, and I'm pretty sure she has fish. I think they started out in the kitchen of her halls but now they're in her room. She's somewhere near 'MacDonald Rd'(?) I think.

uni accommodation prob wont let you have any pets

the only pets at my accomm allowed are guide dogs

We had 3 fishbowls in our halls, we just hid them for inspections

I had some in my third year at uni. The cleaner was the only one who came in my room and never said anything.

However, I did hear a tutor from another accom flushed a fish down a loo, and this was from a reliable source. The bastard. So...you can get away with it, but be careful. After all, what real harm can they do?haha.
