Default 2010 V100 entry requirements

Just a couple of things to keep in mind:

* Entry requirements are of May 2009
* All entry requirements are for the V100 unless otherwise stated.
* Entry requirements have been taken off university websites, not UCAS as these tend to be more up-to-date.
* Entry requirements are for 2010 unless otherwise stated as not ALL universities have published their 2010 prospectuses.
* Universities in bold type - History required
* Universities in italics - History preferred
* Always check both UCAS and university websites for additional info (ie: what subjects don't count towards offers/points entry)

Glasgow is AAB in certain circumstances, i.e. resitting any of the three. The usual word of caution regarding Edinburgh, it may ask for BBB, but most candidates are predicted better grades than that to get an offer- they'd be better just saying AAB/ABB so people know.

Other than that, looks good Potty!

Ach, tbh you're probably better leaving Edin in BBB (any successful conditional WILL be made that offer), its just plenty of ABB predictions will get rejected, I have no idea why they keep it at BBB, the cynic in me thinks it may be to keep applications high. Oh and Gla should be in the AAB/ABB category- sorry for the hassle! Rest of the Scottish ones are correct. If only entry had anything to do with the quality of the dept though...

UCL offers two history courses, the main V100 which you've included, and also V101 which is offered by the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, and in past years has had different entry requirements
I know this is list is for V100 courses, but maybe it would be worth including?

Tbh, the number of places that offer the V101 would mean another completely different list. Also the V101 tends to attracts students with certain interests from what I've seen both from student interests and course descriptions whereas the V100 offers a much broader range.

200- 240 dependent on number of A levels i.e if you have three A Levels you need 240 points.

It doesn't need to be I don't think as these are all the 2010 admissions requirements. Shall add in your other additions when I'm not knee deep in essay writing Bar the ones you've mentioned which just mean fine tuning of what's already on the list, think it's pretty done now.

For V101, Queen Mary states 340 points in the 2010 prospectus and 320 on the website...

I reckon Sheffield will be more AAA-AAB as its only just upped its History requirements because it keeps filling the AAB quota. I'm guessing AAB will still be considered (could be totally wrong though).

Glasgow have just upped their requirements to AAA/AAB from AAB/ABB.
