Boolean Equation.

Hey how would you go about writing this as a Boolean Equation. I can draw a table for it and I think i get the first bit right, but i don't know about the second bit.

A single output Q is produced from three inputs A, B and C. Output Q is required to be 1 only if inputs A and B are 1, or input C is 1 and input B is 0.

The equation I have thus far is

Q = (A.B) + (/B.C)

or something towards that equation. =/

Note:

/B

means NOT B. =/ Is that correct?

ED: yeah its right, you changed it since my post, also mines slightly backwards due to TSR not liking repeated spaced to get the _ in the right place (too lazy/uneducated to use latex)

You're right OP.

I know if you draw it out, there should be 2 AND gates, 1 OR gate and 1 NOT gate, but i'm not sure where the NOT gates input is, I think it would be to do with the B, since the question says Q = 1 if A = 1 and B = 1, or Q = 1 if B = 0 and C = 1.

an all NAND solution is generally considered better (de morgan or otherwise).

what you want to do is put the NOT onto the B, the not B feeds into one AND with C, and then you feed B into a AND gate with A.

then OR the two AND gates.
