    is Bslforever a Christian?
Yep. He believes that the consistency of the bible is proof enough that it can have such a place of 'power' shall we say in his outlook on life.

As I have pointed out, the bible is in many ways not at all consistent. I hope to convert him.

I usually ignore his posts. He reminds me of Teaddict.

He ignores my main points & arguments, and has an unnatural tendency to deploy far too many logical fallacies.

I prefer to debate with people who I can actually have a sort of discussion with.

I am currently listening to Lady Gaga - Beautiful, Dirty, Rich. Bloody awesome track :yy: .. How are you good?

I had high hopes but it seems he is ignoring my evidence somewhat, claiming that he will go away and so some reading. I doubt he will, he is probably satisfied to drown in ignorance.

I notice you are debating Melancholy, he's cool but bloody hell when he goes into a rant... his posts are essay length more frequently than not

Lady Gaga is wicked I'm listening to 'Lit Up' by Buckcherry which is, imo, more awesome
And I'm ok(ish), got my exams soon (May) soo.... yourself?

I like discussing and debating with Melancholy. It seems we're in agreement though. And yeah, he *really* does make massive posts. In fact, in my last response I felt bad about not having a bigger post. But there wasn’t much to say, since we’re in agreement.

Lady Gaga is great! I can’t believe how she rocketed to absolute fame within a year. I think she has a new style of music that really works. She also used what Kylie Minouge started (I’m a massive Kylie fan too), which was to dress outrageously in her movies. I think she took that and made it her own.

Well I can't say I'm a massive fan of Kylie, but Gaga is great. Interestingly I think you'll find that it was the Sex Pistols, under influence of Vivienne Westwood, who pioneered the idea of using outrageous clothing  (so Kylie didn't start it imo, although she probably modernised it somewhat and made it less of a political thing)...

sorry man! But I find the Sex Pistols more interesting...

"If society is so ****** up that it creates regimes such as the Nazi one and the USSR, then why do we still put up with the.. society? Isn't it time for something different"

Also, interestingly, Vivienne Westwood who created (alongside Malcolm McLaren) the Sex Pistols-punk fashion style also created many of the clothes that Lady Gaga wears. http://gagadaily.com/fashion/2009/09...enne-westwood/

This is really the only element of fashion that I am interested in :p:

Vivienne Westwood is a goddess (in the most atheist way possible ) Haha I was out with my brother this afternoon and we saw a guy wearing the classic shirt:

Her pirate era was awesome too...

My big confession is that at the age of 8 I dressed up in a pink minidress and sang Can't Get You Out of My Head at the school talent show. I guess it's not so embarassing when you consider the previous year I dressed up as Madonna complete with white sequined cowboy outfit. The audience must have been thinking "poor deluded brunette" two years in a row
Kylie love <3 (shh, don't tell Radiohead...)

Hmm. Of all of the bands and artists mentioned so far:

Sex Pistols > Radiohead > Buckcherry > Lady Gaga > Kylie > Madonna.

Also, I watched the Invention of Lying today. Amazing film, Ricky Gervais (genius! know all of his stuff...) basically invents religion.

Anyway, reminded me of this song: tube. This is good also, and kinda reminds me of The Beatles.

By the way I THINK YOU KILLED MALCOLM MCLAREN  </3

    :O holy ****! He's dead

I bet John Lyndon is kinda happy, in his own twisted way.

Also, Ricky Gervais = genius, especially with Stephen Merchant and Pilkington on the xfm broadcasts... this is an established fact, with more evidence than evolution :yep:

But Malcolm McLaren... I despise his commercial values but the guy was a total genius. And he died young

Just wondering, how many people in atheism soc consider themselves right wing and how many consider themselves left wing?

    In the economic sense preferably.

I would say that in the economic sense i am left wing. Mainly because i reject the property rights which are espoused by the right concerning the large scale accumulation of productive property.

But i still support state regulated capitalism as the more revolutionary ideology and theory with regards to the maximisation of liberty throughout the world. :king1:

I probably take a more centrist stance there.

Atheists may be interested in looking at this bill and even taking part in the debate: it is open to all members before it hits the Division Lobby

It's a move in the right direction... even if it does make absolutely no difference to anything other than TSR :p:
