That's great thanks because my parents are divorcing and I think my bursary amount will change after that. At least I'm hoping
You can always apply now, then if and when your circumstances change, you can fill in a change of circumstances form to be reassessed.

My sister attends univeristy so i put on my application she is in higher education. She is in her second year.

It is telling to to provide a " Local Authority Notification of Award Letter (this must show that the student award has been income assessed. NB: a payment schedule itself is not sufficient) for each of their dependent children who are attending Higher Education (and in receipt of an income assessed award) during the academic year for which you are applying"

I haven't got a clue what this is, or my sister help please

That would be your sister's student loan letter (from Student Finance) with the result of her income assessment, showing her eligibility for the income assessed portion of the loan and the maintenance grant.

Also am i supposed to have put in my application how much my accomodation will be?
You are, yes. Or a very near approximation if you don't know yet.

It will be asked in your personal expenses section (this does not include your parents' expenses), under Rent/Mortgage. I can't remember off the top of my head where this section will be in the online system...

Got my notification of award back from the NHS Bursary today was quite quick! Only sent off my documents a week ago to be exact and got all them back yesterday

Getting £3001 from them in terms of bursary and that includes some additional week of my course and then the £1000 grant. They've also given me a chart with the exact dates of payments which is quite handy of them

I then get £2323 from Student Finance.. I'm really concerned on being able to afford to live!! Oh well I'm sure it'll all work out

    Hi!

I'm also studying OT! At Uni of Liverpool

I received an email at the beginning of June telling me I needed to sign up and apply, so I applied when my exams finished, sent my documents (birth certificate etc.) and done! Application didn't take long at all, all online, took me under an hour and as I said sent off my documents had them back in six days and had confirmation and how much I'm receiving in seven

Have you started the application process at all yet?

Re: The offical 'OMFG I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY NHS BURSARY' thread
    Hi,

I am a dependent student. In the parents section, when asked if he had any dependent children, my dad wrote down my details again by accident.
Now, I have received an email to provide proof of the child benefits of my dad's dependent children! However, there is only me.
I think that the system now assumes there are 2 dependent children. How do I change this, as when I log in now I cannot access the parts of the form that my dad filled in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated x

Give the NHSBSA a call, and they may be able to change it at their end for you. If they can't, they can direct you on how to change it yourself (probably by filling in a change of circumstances form).

This happened during my application where my mum put in some incorrect details about her dependent children. NHS BSA advised me via email to enclose a letter with my other evidence explaining that that part of the application was wrong and as such, no evidence was supplied for her dependent children. You could try that

    Hi,

I will try that after ringing them again next week. They do make that part of the form very confusing...I think anyway, it it not clear.

Thank you very much for your help x

Hi. I have a question regarding the crb form you fill out. Cardiff university require you to enclose a cheque to the university for this check. I was wondering whether it would be okay to pay by cash instead? Thanks.

It's never a good idea to send cash in the post, and also the university may group the applications and payments separately/mislay your payment, so a cheque is 100% identifiable as yours rather than loose money that is unlabeled and easily lost.

I start MH nursing at Bournemouth in September and I haven't received an email or letter regarding NHS bursary. I even emailed them and I've yet to receive a reply a week later. :hmmm:

I haven't heard either, but they said everyone should hear by 16th July!
