EDF Energy bill - cutting off?
Hello.
Because we have lots of students in this place, i thought someone may have some nice advice.
I live in a flat, with 3 others.. only 2 others (not me) are on the tenancy agreement. We received electricity bills all year with the ex-tenants' names on, and despite me trying to get the two to ring and change the names and/or pay.. they just haven't. I don't really care, because the blame won't be on me, but this morning we had a visitor, not sure who as I was in bed, but they left a letter (and iv'e yet to speak to the girl who answered the door) basically saying they came to fit a pre-paid meter, pay up 400£ or we will charge you extra for the pre-paid/court fees.
Should I demand the girls to ring and explain that (a) we're now the tenants (b) we moved in september so some of that cost isn't ours (c) we'll now pay. Or should i leave it and hope they don't disconnect by the time we move out? (May 31st)
