14-19 qualification overhaul, new academies, 6 month teaching scheme for redundant bankers (or something like that) ... read TES.

Jim Rose - The Independent Primary Curriculum Review.

Robin Alexander - The Cambridge Primary Review.

Both of these discuss the curriculum and the changes that should be made.

The introduction of MFL at primary is also quite interesting.

The Times last Thursday had an article about Uni fundings. Part of the budget was a £5bn cut.

And another part of the budget was the creation of some thousand extra sixth form places.

(Balanced, eh?)

The review of primary school education in general. Quite recently on the BBC, there was a report about bundling the individual subjects together into groups. And IT would be as important as English, Maths and Science.

School meals (their effects and provision) keeps popping up too.
