Re: Whats the most ridiculous statement you have ever put in a exam?
I didn't write any stupid answers, but I always felt that examiners would be happy if I drew nice pictures everywhere and then they'd feel like they had to give me good marks, for example there was a sled in one of my GCSE science exams and I turned it in to a full on Santa's sleigh, I drew reindeer and Santa in the back with loads of presents. In another one there was a butterfly or a moth and I turned it into an evil death bat.
It was very amusing because I could see everyone around me looking. Tbh this was mostly in the science exams because they had the best pictures.
I got A's in science, still to this day I think it's because of my drawings. -

Re: Whats the most ridiculous statement you have ever put in a exam?
I had a Business Studies A2 exam on the 26th, and we had a question on quantifiable and unquantifiable risk. (risks you can plan for, risks you cannot plan for)
Our paper was on Kingfisher (B&Q, Comet, companies like that). Basically for the unquantifiable risk (can't plan for), I wrote that terrorists could raid the store and blow up all remaining stock.
Bad news? I am still awaiting the results. -

In business studies, we were asked to explain the adv+disadv of minimum wage.
For disadvantages, I said that increase pay may not motivate them to work, as minimum wage workers live in deprived areas where they face more important issues than pay such as antisocial behavior in their neighbourhood.
Got 91/100 for that exam

Re: Whats the most ridiculous statement you have ever put in a exam?
Most of my stupid answers are giving during RS exams, which I find perfectly justifiable :P
Most of my answers start with "Only God has the right to..." (give life, take it away, etc. etc.). In my exam last year, I answered the question: 'Why do Christians view homosexuality as a sin?' with: 'Only God has the right to be gay.' I ended up comparing God with Dumbledore, pondering over the idea that JK Rowling wrote Dumbledore as a representation of God, explaining how the magical element was comparable to God's power and his willingness to sacrifice Harry for the greater good was an example of Christian teachings. I was given a B!
I couldn't remember how to solve a problem in a Maths exam last month and so I did it both of the ways I thought to be correct and wrote a note to the examiner, saying "Please just mark the correct working out and ignore the wrong parts." I'm still waiting to see if they agree to do so. -
Re: Whats the most ridiculous statement you have ever put in a exam?better than leaving it blank to be fair.(Original post by Alexandra's Box)
We had a Physics GCSE exam and my friend wrote 'You tell me' for an answer... sadly I'm too much of a - well, could say geek/nerd but I hate those words - erm, academic to write anything dumb or amusing!
