Job interview question rules!
OK i'm about 3 and a half years late, but I feel it is important and relevant to bring up the rule on not being allowed to post specific interview questions.
If one candidate has the foresight to research a company prior to interview and another doesn't then that is their problem. I don't think people should have to miss out because some people can't be bothered to do their research, and if they are too lazy to research then they don't deserve the job.

Re: Job interview question rules!I agree. Obviously you should do your research before going to the interview :s.(Original post by Antitheist)

How about another even less obvious one;
When at an interview, wear pants.

Re: Job interview question rules!
There is a huge difference between researching a company and receiving specific answers to questions.
You might as well argue that allowing the posting of the answers to current exam questions should be permitted as studying them forms part of revision.
When deciding what can be posted, TSR, as a widely-respected source of information for students, has to take into account the needs and opinions of educational establishments, exam boards and employers, who regularly express those views on this subject and others. -
Re: Job interview question rules!To be honest you should be allowed to post exam questions, as you said they are an important part of revision. Obviously you should not be allowed to post current exam questions, but this is impossible anyway since thay are kept secret until the actual exam. A company that uses the same questions day in day out, year in year out should be prepared for people who have made the effort to try and get an advantage in what is a dog eat dog world.(Original post by Good bloke)

Not so, since the same exam is taken acrosss several time zones in many cases.
Ok I concede to the fact that some exams are taken over different timezones, although this is the first time I have heard of it, and restrictions should be in place to prevent cheating, but the last exam I took was in Principles And Applications Of Web Services, and nobody outside of my university took this exam. -

Whilst your exam may have only been sat by a small number of people, other exams (for example A-levels, the IB or GCSEs) may be taken by people all over world at different times. Seeing the questions beforehand obviously presents a huge and unfair advantage to those candidates.

Fair point James, thanks for clearing that up. I don't usually make a big deal of something until I've done all of my research properly, and this thread reminded me why
Never again! -
Re: Job interview question rules!
Even so, there is a big difference between exam questions and interview questions. Primarily, it's against exam board regulations to reveal current questions, so they are rightly forbidden on this forum. No such regulations exist for job interviews, and there are plenty of other forums online dedicated to this exact topic, easily revealed by a quick google search.
(wipes tear from eye!) A priceless point of view!
